Kellan Elliot once rightly said that “More women in engineering, something that actually worked.”
We live in a male dominated society and it wouldn’t be wrong if stated that men have dominated women even in engineering, but we are forgetting the fact that even before the word engineer existed men and women both have been the creators and designers of the world.
Engineering is the action of working artfully to bring something about, and it doesn’t matter whether you are a man or a woman. It’s not about who makes the better engineer it about the qualities it takes to be one. But even today when we hear the word engineer we always imagine a man, so to break these stereotypes and bring the women in power with the men, many international organizations have started promoting women to participate in the fields of engineering . And let’s not forget women are assets in engineering design because they are attentive to detail, in addition, women generally excel in organization of project management and communication among all group members. The addition of women to engineering would also diversify the workforce, allowing different perspectives and approaches.
